Get down to WHSmith - books books books - i could have bought a book for each member of the whole family in there................... (or Waterstones etc. in case you think i'm plugging WH)
Actually i need help for a prezzie for a NQT (Newly Qualified Teacher) who hasn't got time for books, sports, hobbies, social life, or breathing for that matter, if anyone can suggest? (female)
Darth, speaking as a teacher for the past 29 years - a nice glass and something to pour into it when she gets home from work. A gun or a whip would be better but I don't think that the European Court of Human Rights would approve ;-)
My daughter is making lots of natural soaps, scrubs, etc, and shortbread. I bought, quite cheaply, "A Gift for the Woman who has Everything", inside were two little tufts of wool, boxed like earrings, with a label that said "Nipple Slippers". And DARTH, for you, I'd love someone to buy me a heap of underwear, T-shirts, slippers, etc, for me to try at my leisure, with a promise that they'd keep returning them for right sizes, colours, personal preferences. A lot of time and trouble, but what most women do all year for menfolk.
How about a gift token darth?

Darth, books are an excellent idea, sorry WH Smith, but i just logged onto Amazon and found books for most of the people, 3.99 - 6.70!
additional. books are easier to wrap than, say a dolphin or an egg whisk etc.. thanks all, for the teacher present ideas........
scented candle, sexy pair knickers, novelty key ring, lipstick, false eyelashes, (Claire's accesories good for fun junk for girls), plants, diary, address book (with your address written in), picture frame with picture of you/the individual... good luck!
PS Darth 5? for a dolphin?
Just been to Sainsbury and thought of your question - found some great sushi/chinese tea sets. Also saw some adorable sets of shot glasses with tequila/aftershock miniature as well as whisky miniatures with glass tumblers all boxed up. These were about 4 to 5 pounds each.
The dolphin's free. The fiver is for the fishing rod.......
Had anonotehr idea at weekend whch is whta I am doing for my work colleagues: Mr men or Liitle Miss books picked to reflect charecteristics of the person.
Question Author
I am amazed (although perhaps I shouldn't be) at how resourceful and creative you all are, I especially like the Mr Men book idea.....I like th dolphin idea, but that squeeky voice would drive me mental! ;-)
