Corrie's Tracy Barlow.

Have just read that Tracy Barlow's first husband is coming back to the soap in July. Robert Preston was originally played by Julian Kay between 1996-2006. He's now going to be played by Tristian Gemmill of Casualty fame.
I can't remember any storylines from that far back. Could someone please enlighten me.

She married Robert Preston and moved to London in 1996, but six years later she moved back to Weatherfield and dumped herself on a reconciled Ken and Deirdre.

Not surprised you can't remember him - he was only in a few episodes.
Basically, they got married and shortly moved to London. That was the last we saw of Tracey until 2002 when she had an affair, left her husband and moved back to Ken and Deirdre's.

Robert was last seen in Corrie in January 2003.

It was a different Tracy that married Robert.

Thanks for that Sir Prize...I still didn't recognize him, lol! But lovely seeing some of the old characters. Plus Tracy was played by Dawn Acton back then...

That is such a great clip, sir.prize. Brilliant to see the much-missed Anne Kirkbride and Maggie Jones. Also good too see Tina Hobley as the young barmaid - have just seen her in a fantastic stage production of Dead Simple (based on a Peter James novel) along with Gray O'Brien - another ex-Corrie actor.
