Bought A Sofa Bed Via Groupon

Hi Ab folks .... this is on behalf of a work colleague (honest!). My colleague and her partner purchased a sofa bed via Groupon and, after it arrived at their new house, they started to assemble it together. To cut a long story, there was a problem and they are now left unable to complete putting the bed together, let alone actually use it. They contacted Groupon, who suggested that they contact the company who supplied the bed. They contacted the bed company who said that they should contact Groupon ..... I am sure you know the scenario - we've all experienced it.

I have suggested to my colleague that she contacts the Trading Standards department of her local city council - any other suggestions?

I feel sure there's a moral here - the friend of another work colleague bought a piece of furniture via Groupon - and that piece of furniture has turned out to be duff as well!
