VPN on Watchdog
Don't know if anyone saw Watchdog the other day about hackers nicking your e mail account at free WiFi hotspots. Anyway, they briefly (too briefly in my opinion) said about using VPN's and said it is all explained on their website. Well its not! I believe that you have to download VPN software. Apparently of the 3 WiFi hotspot providers in the UK, only T Mobile have the downloadble software on their site, but does this work for the Cloud and BT sites? Will it work abroad? Is it easy to use or have its own problems? In the end, is it worth getting? I am now a bit confused and wonder how much of the Watchdog article was scaremongering. Anyone give me a bit of guidance? Thanks

An app named Firesheep can work with the Firefox browser and hijack your ability to log into Twitter, Facebook etc. It shouldn't work with your email. If you are worried about it, Don't use services where you have to log in when you are using a wifi hotspot.
