Can Sober People Be As Amusing As Tipsy People ?

As in do you have 'better' craic with someone with a couple of glasses on board rather than a someone who doesn't?

Me? I can be quite entertaining sober,a good laugh. However I know i'm much better fun with a few on board.

I think , personally, I am good company once I unwind with no drink. I am excellent company with a few.

I have been told by friends and family that I have a great sense of humour when sober.
It is many years since I have been drunk, but all to often in my youth, and I can say with a little lubrication now that my inhibitions do dissolve somewhat.
Only a couple of weeks ago I was the first to stand up and make a fool of myself on holiday in the Kareoke night. The animation team were struggling to get punters to join in so I thought I would break the ice if it helped them.
Mike in hand I started a fair rendition of "Just Bummin Around" by Dean Martin. Then the screen went blank so I ad libbed and sang "Where's the effing words all gone.Long time passing"
The Brits,Belgians, Poles,animation team, wife all wet underwear and the show got off to a roaring start.
Have to confess I would not have done that without a little refreshment first. :-). But I was NOT drunk you understand. Ain't no sense in getting old if you don't get smart.

Depends on the person, KM....been out tonight with a friend.....a great night.....laughed til we cried......banter and humour and not a drink between us....

My relationship with long standing friends declined when he began to drink and became rude and insulting in his cups...

Some folk need a glass to unwind......

Me?....I'm fine and relaxed with or without a drink......as are most of my friends....x

Although I have done a mean karaoke sober lol !!

Sometimes pub conversations should stay there....they make far more sense with 'like' minded people :) !!

We did have a lovely meal and evening with good pals though...they thought they were hilarious as well last night, bet they don't today !
