You know the Friend I had been recently talking about - well bless her she went to sister in law's house in the south of Ireland and was washing a cuppla dishes - missed a chair and fell and retained a hairline fracture to her wrist.

She is home now with the plaster of paris

I told her to get the plaster of paris off near our hospital - about 4 minutes from her - oh no I am going back to the south where this happened.

This is what she says I am in so much pain but then your (mine) pain tolerance/threshold is probably far higher than mine. I have only had 2 broken shoulders, one broken, arm, 2 shootings in left leg and 2 car crashes and broken teeth. Ha hahhaha - my threshold sure is high ( Aye right)

Anyway is a hairline fracture terrible painful.

In my experience, yes, very painful. More painful than a break.

I thought that.
I've also been hit by a car and dislocated my knee. I'd chose that over a hairline fracture any day...
Hairline fractures (stress fractures) can provide a wide spectrum of pain, from severe to almost a pain free situation.
it depends.
Question Author
well i know dislocation of the knee is extremely painful.
It wasn't too bad. I got hit with my 4 year old son so I think the adrenaline kicked in. It easily popped back. I do still have the odd problem with it.
fracture and break are the same thing .
