Bit of a one in the eye in the DT for the global warming computer modellers.

The European Space Agency and others having predicted that the Arctic would be ice free by 2013, the volume of ice has increased by 33%, the Hudson Bay the thickest it has been in 20 years, Canadian icebreakers stuck and the signs being that this year will be even more pronounced as to the presence of ice......

Has Al Gore shot himself in the foot as to his predictions of flooding in "An Inconvenient Truth," ought the scientists have a rethink?

By the way my geological mind says that there has been a lot of bunkum produced by the protagonists for warming and that (i) the Earth has the ability to correct itself and (ii) even 200 years is so short geologically and (iii) we have always experienced cycles. Not that I am condoning belching crap into the atmosphere or seas to pollute our environment- but let's get a better balance and science into the data.

I can't yet find the article online - page 26 in the Sunday Telegraph.

They can never admit they're wrong now. People in the future will look back in disbelief at this 'religion'.

yes, and perhaps a lack of objectivity at time, baz.....
for the most part yes...same as most research.. the party thats paying for the research expects a favourable outcome to their cause whatever it may be..and as most people know, most data can be presented to show whats wanted by manipulation and the way its presented..
Christopher Booker is peculiar to say the least.

Some of his 'theories' are downright dangerous. He thinks Asbestos is safe and precautions when handling it are just Health and Safety nonsense.
//He thinks Asbestos is safe//

that's not quite what he said - his comments related to white asbestos. see the hse's response here:-
