Tesco Dump Coca Cola
13 Answers
Okay, they haven't yet. But ...
Tesco are going to stop selling Ribena and Capri-Sun, because they contain too much sugar, and Tesco care about their customers well being!
But 500ml of Ribena (diluted as directed on the label) contains 50g of sugar.
500ml of Coca Cola contains 53g of sugar.
No doubt Tesco will stick to their principles, and withdraw the world's biggest selling soft drink from their shelves.
Or are their "Token Gestures To Dupe Our Customers" Department all thinking "Oh, crap!" and trying to think of a way to back pedal.

It's canned/bottled drinks such as Cola, Monster, RedBull that are more harmful and more attractive to kids/teenagers but I suppose they are more likely to be bought by kids at the corner shop than in a supermarket
If it is as you state then it does seem nonsensible to drop a product on health reason for the amount of sugar it has in it's purchased state. It should be judged on it's consumed state.
For sure folk could swig it neat if they desired; but there again, they could open a bag of sugar and scoff that neat too, if they wished. Are Tesco planning to stop selling bags of sugar because it contains 1kg of sugar per kilogram bag ?
