They don't just wake up one day and think oo I know what I fancy.Today's perpatrators are mostly yesterday's victims and many of them will go on to be tomorrow's perpatrators. Until that's understood - and by that I mean in a critically appreciated, not sympathetic way, the cycles go on. The grim reality is, if Baby P had survived, he'd likely have grown up modelling the behaviours he was subjected to.
Emotion and and wanting vengance for innocence aren't wrong. But by the time 'dirty pervs' get caught, damage has probably been long-done elsewhere. So, wield the knife if you will, but where are you going to start and what will you do next? Just wait for another chop?
