Taking my morning cuppa onto the patio and finding egg shells discarded from the sparrow's nest in the guttering......the cheeping all day as they are being fed by busy parents has been a joy....

....and it's been a lovely day at last.....☺

2nd go - spent half an hour trying to reply to this about 6 p.m.,, but nothin registered. (Ed?)

Feelgood factor was (possibly) saving the lives of a brood of 6 ducklings, whose mum had decided to walk them across the road from the village pond.
Said road is fairly busy, the road curves round the pond and another road comes into it at that point.

Anyway, Mr. J2 screeched to a halt, I leapt valiantly from the car, just like superwoman (use your imaginations!), and halted a lorry and 3 cars from various directions whilst I shooed them all back to the pond. Mum Duck was not even very pleased with me! It was nice, though, all the drivers and passengers were waving and smiling - a good start to the day. :)
Bliss today was sitting on a slate chair on the seafront in the (fleeting) sunshine watching the children dash between the slate boulders and hearing the children shriek when the very fine water fountains sprayed them with seawater.
Sounds like a good day, Daisy. Did you have a bag of chips while sitting on the sea front.
No, bottle of sparkling water.
Not even a sandwich ?.
No, that end of the beach does have a café but £7.35 for a crab sandwich I thought was a bit much
I agree, Daisy. Very expensive.
Went to Waitrose and bought some crab pate

It's lovely Gness but we do get very strong winds from the sea.
