I've used the site for ages but have not been able to connect to it since Sunday,

I've also been trying to connect to it with no joy. I've also used it for ages & have sudukos waiting to be uploaded - so my record is scuppered

Thanks for your time and replies, I'm getting withdrawal symptoms as I really enjoy their puzzles, Dannyk, I'll give it a try , I also use websudoku.com .

alternative sites are scant consolation when you have spent months getting on the leader board! i have been monitoring this since Saturday, when (I think) the site first went down. This thread is the first blog I have found to identify this as a global problem.
Saturday was also the day when Google Chrome and other browsers blocked the use of Adobe Flashplayer, which caused problems all over, but I can't see how this is related.
Assuming the site is gone forever, I now need to find an alternative to their Extreme Sudokus, so will try dannyk13's suggestion .....

I've also tried to find out if its global but this is all I've found too. There were advance sudukos available until the end of the year so surely they wouldn't have spent the time releasing these if there was a planned closure.d

I normally work on the advance sudokus and have escalated this recently as I plan to be offline for a week or so next month. If the site ever comes back up, they will either have to clear the leader boards or freeze their records at the date the site went down.
Meantime I am using http://www.websudoku.com/ (as recommended by wired). The problem here is that their 'evil' level is somewhere between 'tough' and 'diabolical' on sudoku.org.uk so no real challenge!

www.sudoku.org.uk used to belong to Trevor Bond. I've emailed him in the past when I've had a problem, and he would answer within a few days. I can't seem to find the address.

The site is up today for daily puzzles. e itcame up yesterday. I'd looked yesterday mornig & it wasn't working, didn't think to look later on.

Hopefully the advanced puzzles page wil be uo & running soon
