Valium Prior To Mri
5 Answers
I've suffered horrendous claustrophobia during a couple of MRI scans during the last 18 months or so. I'm due to have another MRI tomorrow.
On the advice given in a leaflet accompanying tomorrow's appointment, I contacted a nurse practitioner at my GP practice. The lady prescribed me two 2mg valium tablets. Now I recall her saying to take one tablet 10 minutes before going into the tube, but I can't recall what she said about when to take the first tablet.
Can I have some advice on this please as I'd like to make sure I've got the maximum amount of the stuff in my bloodstream when I enter that damn tunnel!
Thank you

It might help to think that there is light and air literally at the top of your head. Why they don't make them so that your head can come out of the end I will never know!
