8 Answers
Can anyone enlighten me as to why many/all lorries travelling to England from France shown on the television news seem to have their back doors unlocked/secured presenting easy access to those wishing to travel in them illegally am I missing something here? I haven't seen anyone "breaking-in" as such

If you have to show you have nothing on board to the Authorities then the driver can unlock them on request this would be when the vehicle is stationary and when in a secure location/customs checking etc

Outtheway,
You have been given the answers,
''If the doors are locked in the open position it's easy to see if anyone has got into the trailer. ''
''I think they are the empty ones, if the Migrants climb in they are obviously on view to border control.''
''our dear little friends have bolt cutters - it was on the box the other night.''
