The only good thing I can say about it is any passengers enjoyed the comfortable ride. For me it was really ugly, an old man's car. It finally got the the boot when the bonnet flew up doing 60mph and smashed the windscreen. Only car I've ever had that I truly hated.

They where very popular in their day queenie, also very under powered unless it was a 2.9 litre.
That last picture has to be one of the ugliest cars Ford ever built.

I think the ford scorpio (not granada) is uglier than the granada scorpio

The difficulty for Ford UK is that they don't have any "big" cars left to sell anymore, now that the Scorpio/Granada is gone.

My Dad has two Ford Consuls years ago, one from the 60's and one from the 70's :::

He also had a a beautiful Corsair, which I learned to drive in ! Fab cars...such a pity that the big Fords are no longer around over here, although they are still sold in the States.

Our favourite Ford though, was a Cortina 1600E ! This is just what ours looked like. Metallic Gold colour, with a sunshine roof, and Rostyle wheels !
