I've just watched the first episode of this, about the Bloomsbury set, and found it intriguing, wasn't sure how I'd feel about it.

For a greater degree of political enlightenment for women check out the activities of the author of 'The Railway Children' ie Edith Nesbit. Wow was she a trail blazer. Helped found the Labour Party too. Info on her site and wikipedia.
