Dartford Tunnel Charge

Do we just have to pay a single fee to use the dartford Tunnel to Southend, or do we pay a return, and do we come back to London through the tunnel or over the Queen Elizabeth bridge?

No it's 2.50 each way

The Dartford crossing is made up of 2 tunnels and a bridge. The bridge runs clockwise on the M25 and the tunnels anticlockwise (though in high winds the bridge is closed and 1 of the tunnels will go clockwise. You have to pay for both ways.

I usually pay mine online but I believe there are some shops you can pay in also

I paid the Dart Charge at my nearest Payzone outlet yesterday. You pay for a number of crossings so return would be 2 crossings. They are valid for a year.

I meant you have to pay for two single crossings rather than a return.

Just a point of pedrantry. The Datrford Crossing does not form part of the M25. The M25 is not a complete orbital route. It finishes just north and just south of the crossing. Roads that form the crossing are actually the A282.
