Damned Argies Balders....hope them Falklanders appreciate what you and the boys did.... I was in St Albans at the time and about 10 of us hired a minibus and went down to meet the ships coming home !! great day , very emotional..
My son was on the beach at Portsmouth when the fleet sailed. He was in his Sea Cadets uniform and saluted the ships as they left. He got a salute in return from the bridge wing of the Flagship. It made his day. We were there to see them come back too. A very emotional day. A young wife took off her bra and a crane driver lifted it to her husband on his ship.
