just for fun really, i'm interested in doing a survey to all ab members, what is your best or most memorable ending to a movie, apart from the obvious sixth sense which i actually guessed honestly....

my favourite ending of recent years has got to be matchstick men starring Nicolas Cage totally unexpected.. Heist with Gene Hackman was another good ending, But I want to hear your favourites maybe I'v not seen them, and can get to see them.

many thanx stott

Most of mine have been mentioned already- The Usual Suspects, Memento, Pulp Fiction, Psycho, Se7en, Identity (yes, kick, that is the John Cusack one), Planet of the Apes. Also Doctor Strangelove, Donnie Darko, Taxi Driver, JFK, Rope.

Sorry this is not a movie ending but the very last scene in the tv drama Our Friends Up North with Daniel Craig (the next James Bond) is far and away the best ending I have seen.
Deffo The Others for me. But also Green Mile although I cried buckets when John Coffey went to the chair.:o(
Switchblade Romance, I think that was the title, it was a french film about 2 students going to stay with one of the family for the summer and the ending was excellent, a real twist.. even better than Saw !
inside man of late has an excellent ending, tv wise it has to be this life outstanding! oh best ending to a soap - (sad I know but hey) Dynasty the Colbys everyone shot by terrorist - inspired!
I know it's a bit old but the ending in the original The Sting with Robert Redford was good, but my all time favourite is Terminator 2 when Arnie is lowered into the molten steel and gives a thumbs up.
Alien 3 when Ripley dives into the furnace holding her "Baby"

I agree with se7en, the village, officer & a gentlemen.

Also - stand by me (goosebumps everytime!), the incredible Journey, Braveheart, American Beauty, Once were Warriors.

And most recently 8 below, that was so emotional!
