Sources close to the Prime Minister have disclosed that he is very keen on bringing in new laws with respect to the Tele sales Industry .

The Government is consulting on the proposal to make it a legal requirement for anyone receiving a telephone call from a company selling a product ; to listen for at least two minutes to the caller , so you know what they are wishing to sell you .

Failure to comply , punishable by a fine

Apparently research has shown that 55 % of people who stay on the line , end up buying the product that is being offered .

The Government sees it as a further method of boosting economic growth , while they continue with the austerity measures .

Just appalled that although I have pointed out to the surgery that my prescription has not been reviewed for the past three years nothing has changed. Not seen my doctor for over 2 years. Have apprised them of the situation regarding the phone. They have my email and home address.
Have organised my own BP test, blood test and flu jab at the surgery and still no reaction. Nurses involved said repeatedly that my Dr. would be in touch.
