I've just been listening to You and Yours on Radio 4, talking about Online Dating. One of my daughters has often said, 'Why don't you find someone, Mother', but I am too nervous of what I might find.
My standards are also very high, and I wouldn't want to be unkind to anyone who didn't reach those standards.
Any comments? I'm 74 and widowed. Living in Leicestershire.
Am I being a wimp, should I just go for it?
You should just go for it - age is irrelevant - just do an honest informative profile a couple of original pics and avoid the trolls and you might find a good friend or more. I`ve helped a couple of older friends and younger ones to place profiles and they are all in happy relationships with 2 of them looking like marrying - looking forward to my invites as they are both abroad
Oh stuff that, Helly......one post on here has got Sqad and Ael going and Dave making funny noises......just think what you could do with a bit of online dating....
You go for it.....have fun and be wise....well to a point...... ;-)
I did it , try it what have you got too lose ?aslong as you are careful, take precautions, you will enjoy yourself. I met my husband with online dating, we are very happy.
If, and it is only if, I do investigate this, does anyone know of a reputable site? There are so many. A lady I met paid £1000 to join one and she did meet her husband, but that's way beyond me. I don't really know where to start.
