3. What gap is needed either side of a range cooker?
You can install your kitchen cabinets flush to the sides of your Britannia range cooker, because a Britannia is well insulated. However, to allow for cleaning and servicing, it's recommended that a 2.5mm gap is allowed on each side so that the cooker may be moved if necessary. Range cookers from other manufacturers may need a larger gap to prevent heat damage to your cabinets.


I've never left a gap, don't know of anyone who does.
