Crazy....thank goodness it happened at a quiet time......at a busy time if she was so oblivious....doesn't bear thinking about.
I had two relatives killed on the A1 when he....god knows why....went the wrong way and hit a lorry.....
We were just so thankful the lorry driver wasn't hurt....

Satnavs can be a great asset when finding an address in an unfamiliar city but you need to have a good idea of where you are going in the first place. This reminds me of an article I read in the paper about an ambulance driver and his satnav. Fortunately it was not a paramedic in an emergency ambulance, just a minibus taking an old dear home after a hip op from a hospital in central London. Said old dear lived in London SW17 but the ambulance driver mistakenly entered SK17 into his satnav which is Stockport, Greater Manchester. He did not twig that something was wrong until he was passing Knutsford Services on the M6.
There should be an aptitude test undertaken before anyone is allowed to purchase or use a satnav device.
