Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

There is no clue for question 16, just (4,2,4), and my mind is totally blank on this one. This is my last one to do, so any hints would be very gratefully received.

Yes there is a clue.
Have you noticed the absence of a full stop after the question number in both 16 and in 97 ?

gen 2 and Myrtle. I have the answers to both 16 and 97. I had also realized that the full stops were missing but was unable to make use of that piece of info when solving those clues! Perhaps gen 2 you could explain their significance for now, and more importantly for future reference. Thanks

This is a regular practice of the setter of this fine quiz. When the full stop is missing, the question number is part of the clue.

In 16, the clue was 16
The answer is a mathematical way of describing 16.

In 97, the clue is about "97 horsepower" and "monarch of the road". Google those terms and you will find the lyrics of a well known Flanders and Swan song.
