Urine Testing Bottles

I have to give a urine sample at my doctors tomorrow for CRP, UE, LFT & URA & have been given a bottle with a white top. Just looking at the paperwork the doctor gave me it says "brown top bottle required". Does this make a difference if I've given the wrong type of bottle? Thanks

That must be horrendous for you murraymints. I'm hoping something shows up in my urine or bloods that I'm having taken later this morning. I'm drinking loads & goodness knows where its going. I wish you well too x

Apologies for slightly going off main topic, my local clinic has stopped issuing the small bottles for urine and now issue these syringes. I hope they arrange courses.

Vulcan....those syringes have been used in Menorca for 6 years.

This reminds me of when I was pregnant in Paris and at the monthly clinic we were asked to bring a urine sample in a bottle every month - one month a newly pregnant girl brought a sample in a wine bottle complete with cork -and it was full!

I didn't know that Sqad, we are obviously well behind in our technology. Another case where progress is exchanging one nuisance for another.

Well, the "brown top bottle" meant nothing! I spoke to the practice nurse when handing in my sample today & when I mentioned these words (in capitals no less) that were on the form her reply was "don't take any notice of that" Ummm

Im a urol nurse ive never ever saw a brown top bottle...
