Sky hd channels

Does anyone subscribe to these? are they any good ? or are sky just trying to squeeze money out of us?

Not yet, but they are expensive and i dont want to jump in with both feet on the sky thing if its not up to scratch.

sky hd doesnt start broadcasting until 22/05/06.

I have an hd tv and am scheduled for installation with sky hd for 29/05/06.HDTV pictures will be sharper,more detailed and more vibrant but they arent going to be this awesome leap forward in viewing experience that everyone is expecting.I have an xbox 360 and you can already download movie trailers in hd and they look nice but like i say,not mind-blowing.

I have seen the demo pictures on HD tv and they are fantastic.

I wil wait for the prices to drop though.

Pointless paying for it without the HD tv.

So how much more are they asking for the extra channels. it just seems a bit much to ask more for channels you already get. What if you watch an HD channel on a non HD tv? sorry if theres a lot of questions but this is the ab.

Our arrives towards the end of May also, Hubbie is a techie boy at heart - so will let you know ASAP. Our tv is plasma and I have to say the demos looked good, but will it be life changing - probably not. We missed out on the sky plus box waited for hd instead.. so will probably be more impressed with the box of tricks than the picture.
