It's Been A Very Long Day!!

We went for a days Cruise from Lydney FOD to Ilfacombe on board the good ship Balmoral. We started at 8.45am. The weather was atrocious, rain and wind so we had to sit inside. Fighting for seats, kids jumping on the seats next to us grrrrr.
It took 6 hours to get there and when we were getting off we were told be back in 90 minutes or we will go without you!
We just had time for a meal when we had to return to the ship. We sailed to Penarth then got a coach back to Lydney. We got home at 10.15 pm. Absolutely shattered. I don't think we will be doing it again as the long voyage down was quite boring stuck inside. There was no commentary so we didn't know where we were at anyone time.
Still you live and learn.
They do sail to Penarth which is a shorter trip so may try that next year.
