Internet Access In My New Flat

At the moment I only have a phone line from BT but when I finally move in I want to have a wifi connection and - eventually - NOW TV (for when GOT is back next year)
Jamie has suggested I contact TALK TALK as, he believes, they are the cheapest
Will they also provide me with my phone line and will I need to contact BT

Whoever you choose for broadband bear in mind that they all have to use the BT line so to avoid problems in the future ( who is at fault when line probs arise) why not choose BT to supply broadband ?

Unless, of course, you opt for fibre like Virgin.

Check the comparison sites for what the best deal is on your area, and what users think of them. Cheapest may suit you 'down to the ground', or you may prefer to pay for better reliability and/or customer service. Only the review/comparison sites is going to give you clues on that.

talk talk do not offer a good afterservice - I was with them - do not go near them. as whiskey says- most of the lines all come through BT - they are a bit more expensive you only get what you pay for

I am with BT but really wish I was with Plusnet which is part of BT; with a better reputation than the parent company and it's Call Centres are in the UK. Furthermore, it offers some good deals. Talk Talk is all talk until you have problems and then doesn't want to talk.

Ric.ror...I would avoid TalkTalk like the plague if I were you !

Unless you have cable or fiber optics going into your new flat, it will be BT who will provide the line, whoever you end up paying every month !

The cheapest is not always the way to go with internet access. Its the quality of the service that really counts in the long run.

Why not look at BTs current offers ? You need to find out if you can BT Infinity in your new flat. NOW TV is very good and very cheap but you will need a fairly good download speed for it to work properly.

Go to the BT site and see if Infinity is available. If there is one of the new green cabinets, with the louvers on the side near to you flat, than you probably will have access. I get about 35-36 mega pixies with Infinity One.

I have had so many problems with TalkTalk and have had numerous engineers but I am still having problems, I have been unable to access TalkTalk for over 2 days as there is a message on screen saying they are doing maintenance but it is ridiculous that I can't get into my emails for all this time
