not sure if this is the right section to post this query, but can anyone recommend a good (free) shopping list app?
There seems to be quite a few on google play, but I'm not sure which one would be nice and simple!

Pen and paper? (sorry) ;-)

OH uses 'Notes' section on her 'phone, just clears the page when she's finished, and starts again for next week as things get low or run out.
Sorry I use my email, make a list there and keep it in drafts.
I use the notes facility on my iphone which updates the list on my computer and ipad as well. Does your phone/tablet/computer have any kind of notes facility?
What OS are you using? Android, Apple, Windows?
Sorry, Android.
Try Buy Me A Pie and Bring!
The back of an old card plus a pen is excellent.
I made one as a document for the lady with headings along the top of the page: Fr & Veg...lemons, mushrooms, Dairy...cheese, eggs, Tins...sweetcorn, dhal, Meat...ham, mince, Kitchen...freeze-bags, J-cloths, Admin...glue, stamps and across the middle: Jars...coffee, jam, Bakery...rolls, flour, Bathroom...floss, shampoo, Bottles...beer, olive oil, Packets...corn flakes, rice and near the bottom: Tubes...tom puree, Medic...aspirin, vit pills, Misc...whatever.
Obviously, there are more than two items in each section; our current document has 130. Also, as time goes on, other products are required and these can just be added to the document as required.
It works very well by printing out a new one every week befor the 'big shop' and highlighting which items are then needed.
I should have added above that all these things are in columns rather than spread all over the page!

Quizmonster - sounds a bit like the old tesco favourites list.
What I want tho is something quite handy a I tend to thik of toothpaste while in teh bathroom, and if I find pen & paper in teh bedroom, I tend to lose the paper before it gets on the the shopping list which lives in teh kitchen!
Try the two I suggested earlier and see if one of them does the trick for you
i use the my supermarket app, you can choose the supermarket you shop at and it gives you the current prices
