Table Themes

Any ideas for my upcoming nuptuals??
Think i have picked one but just incase anyone gives me a better idea of a theme?

I wasnt allowed disney couples LOL mr tinks said nooooo. X

Just make sure whatever you pick that the table decoration are low on the table. Went to a wedding recently and they had a gorgeous candelabra for the centre but it made chatting very difficult.

Do you need a theme at all?

Personally I'd be worried that any forced theme would come across as tacky. Of course just my opinion and doesn't answer your question at all- sorry, lol.

Hi Tinkerbell.My daughter and her hubby are a bit 'different' shall we say.Neither wanted a formal, strict wedding, it was all about having fun.Their theme was 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'and the table pieces were little tree's that lit up with miniature chocolate bars and bags of sweets hanging from the branches.When they appeared for the first dance, they both came out wearing fat suits, it was hilarious.Hope your wedding is enjoyable for you.xx

The last wedding we went to was themed as where the couple got engaged ,on a beach, so navy and white where the colours and each table was decorated with a beach theme and the cake was decorated like a lighthouse.

and the most stylish wedding with regard to both wedding party and guests was my daughters Gothic wedding but that may be stretching it a bit.

A friend's daughter and her husband-to-be both loved cheese. The 'cake' was tiers of differently coloured wheels of cheese and each table had a different theme. e.g. Sage Derby' was green, Wensleydale had Wallace and Gromit etc. etc..

Us? Mr. J2 and I sing tog. in a choir and I write stories so there were miniature bits of music and books around. Your own interests could provide the ideas. Have a lovely day whatever you pick - and remember this is just the decor and not, ultimately important. :) x

Jourdain, cheese!!!! I hate cheese with a passion, still might appeal to Tinkerbell. When I got married, there was no themes!

a gallery of photographs of family and friends works well in a corridor or whatever leading into the reception.....

the wedding also had fun items like empty picture frames, silly hats, boas etc for photos later on in the reception - there were also three of those snappy, throw-away cameras for each table...

a maitre-d for getting people where they should be and bring order to proceedings, inc an opening speech where he/she can have some fun with you two....and the respective mothers.

I think im naming them all after chocolate bars (im the ultimate chocoholic!)
