So no connection then!!! The bomber apparently taped a video blaming the Iraq war and Blairs policies ( it was not aired here probably), but he was wrong. There was no connection. It ranks as high as saying Prescott is worth every penny of tax payers money, only it is not funny any more.

It was aired. I saw it a couple of times.
Sorry, I meant to add that in the video he justified his forthcoming atrocity for "the suffering inflicted on my Muslim brothers, by your democratically elected government". I cannot recall if he mentioned the Iraq war.
Of course there is no connection. Just like there was no connection between the Iraq war & 9/11...
Are you honesty trying imply that those responsible for the July 7 bombing wre actually justified Dom Tuk?
I don't think he is saying that at all...looks like sarcasm ;o)

Ofcourse not Philby, i am offended that you would think so. The Iraq war is a great injustice to the Iraqi people. I dont think however, that the perpetrators of this injustice viz: the US and the British armies (under orders of their political leaders) did so because Iraq is a muslim country. It was for reasons of political dominance in the oil rich middle east. The fact that the misguided terrorists bombed and killed innocent Bristish people is abhorrent to me. I could be one of them killed or it could members of my family. In the same vein, i could be a victim of a racist BNP outrage, although my family have been in this country for generations.

The fact that the British Govt does not see the effects of its short sighted actions and blind poodle sniffing acquiescence of US policies is what is surprising. To say that the war in Iraq is not a factor in the July bombings is tantamount to burying your head in the sand and like saying Prescott is a great parliamentarian. a bit like saying that our immigration policies are not a factor in the recent upsurge in BNP following, but that the real reason is that voters are thick.

There is no justification for the atrocity committed on July 7th, but to suggest there is no connection with the war in Iraq seems to be stretching credibility, somewhat.
