I am not a frequent poster here, but tonight it has occurred to me what you all sound like. I see some posters are very frequent and it has made me wonder if I would find your voices interesting enough to want to pursue a conversation with you. Please indulge me ;)

No accent and a bit old-school BBC, people think I'm therefore snobby and posh which is a bit unfair ;-)

What difference does it make?

Apparently, to you none. Fair do's. I just enjoy different accents, some are more appealing than others.

I am imagining you sounding and singing like Gracie Fields now Mamy.
Broad-ish Lank-cash-ere with a few corners knocked off from living in Cheshire for 30 years.
ummmm - I think most of us don't reckon we have an accent, until someone comments on it. Remember at school once they taped me reading some heavyweight play. When they played it back I was mortified! It was so so broad.

I don't really have an accent, it sometimes comes out a bit Yorkshire. That is from having lived there and my Dad was Yorkshire.
Think that will.

Everyone in the UK has an "accent" from the Queen down to the local bin men. No one spoke "Queens English" until the Victorian times when people began to copy the Prince Regent who had a German Accent when speaking English! I love the southern Irish Accent both male and female. Geordie accent on a man is nice but horrible on a woman , I think cheryl cole (or whatever it is now) accent is incredibly ugly. Choux -my accent would flummax you lol!
