No, no. Not artificial insemination or anything like that , artificial intelligence. ☺
AI is only a threat if the intelligent thing to do is to wipe out the human race...
No robot's getting any action in my breach !

Gaia, the Earth Goddess, may have set this in train because of what we're doing to the Earth. So it may be the intelligent thing to do to wipe us out.
Sandy...there is only one god and he is a very jealous god ..or so it says in the bible.
The difference between artificial intelligence and artificial insemination is that with artificial insemination you have some idea of the outcome.

While the bible talks of 'One God' it doesn't deny the possibility of Goddesses.

Sandy...you have neatly reminded me that its a few years since I last read the Foundation books, and its about time I read them again !

I can't remember ever reading any of his stories. Did he posit a dystopian world?
Mosiac's 'Big Dog' would be far more frightening if it was designed with 6 or 8 legs. That really would trigger atavistic fears.
Asimov's predictions concerning robots will become reality very soon. The 3 laws should be incorporated in every robot.

Harry Harrison's futuristic novel "Make Room! Make Room!" (Penguin Modern Classics) makes for an interesting comparison. A bit different from the film (Soilent Green).

I remember the film. Featured Edward G Robinson in one of his last roles. I'll look out for the book.
