Crisps--Which Is Dearer

I recently bought 6 x 25 grammes of Walkers crisps for £1.00 Does the packeting cost more than the crisps as it is only just over half an ounce of potatoes.
Are there any other foods when the packeting is dearer that the cost of the contents

Err mum, not sure I'm following you as there are 28g to an ounce. £1 for a six pack strikes me as a bargain.

In capitalism prices do not reflect reasonableness nor fairness but what extracts the greatest amount of wealth from the buyers. That said packaging does cost and can be a large percentage of the cost of items cheap to produce.

Try and source them sold loose,they may be cheaper.

Big-brand snacks, such as crisps, ARE wildly overpriced. You can buy a 24-pack (six different flavours) of Lidl's own-brand for just over £2....or, just over £1 when they are on weekend half-price offer - about 5p a bag. Every bit as good as Walkers imo...although I am weaning myself off salty snacks for health reasons!

In some shops Walkers multipack crisps are down to 4 bags for £1-daylight robbery, I'd stock up if I were you gollob :o)
