I have purchased a PDA but it only has a USB conection. My computor only has a serial and printing port available. Is there any way of connecting them? Is there an adaptor available?

Yes there is such a cable Peppery; try http://www.usbgear.com/
Did it not occur to you to ask this question or indeed enquire about adaptors BEFORE you bought this very expensive item?
You will require a PCI USB card to put in your computer in order to connect to your PDA via USB. The cables are for adding an extra COM port for a USB enable PC. The cards are pretty cheap (10 ish) and very easy to fit. There are two versions of USB: the old USB 1.0 and the new faster USB 2.0. Getting a USB 2.0 card will make your PC more future-proof but they are more expensive and I expect your PDA only uses USB 1.0. The only other consideration is that early Windows 95 and all Windows NT 4.0 (or earlier) operating systems did not support USB.
