Has anyone any suggestions as to where I could go away to for the weekend? We've been to York, Stratford-upon Avon and Bath already. All suggestions really appreciated.

Depends what you are looking for, cities, coast, nature, history.


If you are lookng for interesting towns then Cambridge, Oxford, Chester, Cardiff, Brighton, Norwich


One suggestion is to see where the coach companies go to do day trips or weekends away. These will normally be interesting places, such as

All places I enjoyed for a weekend...

Cotswolds, Edinburgh, Manchester, Oxford, Cheltenham, Brighton, pretty much anywhere in Cornwall.....all places we've enjoyed.
My hubby travels all over the country with his job WS and he reckoned the nicest place he had been to was Tunbridge Wells.Worth a look. xx
