My maid accidentally put the dupion silk duvey cover in the washing machine so the fabric now lost its shine and colour... looks more dirty with these faded creases. How can I restore the colour and shineness of the fabric? Pls help. Thanks

It's been my experience with silk that if it's washed, it's ruined...you could try a specialist dry cleaners for an opinion but I would think it's time to fire the cleaner and buy a more colorfast, machine washable duvet cover.

i have been working in a dry cleaners for 4 years now. in general the 'heavier' the silk the less likely it is to withstand washing. example: a silk dress has a very thin layer of silk, this can be washed (although not recommended!!) and recovered. However it sounds like the cover is a heavier silk (you say it has 'creased'), washing will have left permenant creasing which no specialist will be able to remove. Sorry!
