Cd Won't Play In Car.

I've burnt an audio CD which plays perfectly on a PC but when inserted into my car CD player is rejected with the message ' Reading error'. Any suggestions ?

Ratter has hit the nail on the head. It all depends on how you copied the CD. If you copied it as an audio CD, then it SHOULD play on almost any other audio playing device. If you copied it in MP3 format, then your CD player needs to be an MP3 player as well, which most are not. The advantage with MP3 CD's, is that you can fit a lot more songs on. If you copied it in MP3 format, then your CD player needs to be an MP3 player as well, which most are not.
The advantage with MP3 CD's, is that you can fit a lot more songs on. A typical audio CD will hold 20 songs ish at most; whereas an MP3 CD will hold 100 ish songs .... all depending on the length/size of each song.

You should solve your problem if you go along with Ratter and Gizmo. However, I hope they will both agree with me that you should avoid burning to Re-writable Discs (CD-RW) which are unlikely to be playable in your car.

As I am Not an Audiophile, I have been browsing the Internet to find something in support of my most recent posting. The result is the following link which appears to confirm my view about the necessity to 'burn' onto CD-R. The main reply being from an Audio Engineer. :-
