Can Anyone Recommend Smart Phone For Kids

need 2 smart phones, im not paying for samsung etc so one of the smart phones on ebay for around 50 pounds each will do, last phones i bought them lasted 3 months then screens smashed etc so will not fork out 2-400 pounds on original phone
any ideas ?

(Remember that you've got to pay for the use of the phones, as well as the original cost!). 'Locked' phones are usually far cheaper.
I've been toying with the idea of getting a new phone and I've been looking at this:
