This ones bugging me and I know it'll be so obvious when i'm told the answer. Caught a snippet of this song on a documentary about Arsene Wenger on BBC4, It's a female singer (possibly Dusty Springfield?) and contains the lines 'like a sound you hear coming in your ear'... and 'from sundown to sunset' driven by a string section. Please help me someone, I'm going straight up town tomorrow to get a hold of this!

Thanks Mortartube it was indeed the Melena Shaw version I heard. I only know one of her other songs I think. 'Woman of the ghetto', a class song.
