is anybody being phoned every hour on the hour by phone number 08004080066 offering bt package of phone and wireless . i have had one yesterday and 7 today hourly . name of caller trica.i have called bt, they say bt wouldnt do that.

A search on the phone number gives lots of hits on the internet.

Many people plagued by calls from this number, many say they are offering deals on BT broadband etc.

They SAY they are a BT partner, but who knows if that is true.

Oftel records show that numbers starting 0800 408 are allocated to Virgin Media Wholesale Limited, so it would be very surprising if it was actually BT calling you on this number.
Obviusly it's a scam - don't pick up the phone when they ring. Hopefully they'll eventually give up.
