Folding Programme List

Windows 95 (at Work) shows two columns of contents when I click Start then Programmes. Windows 98 (at home) has one long list that I have to scroll down past the screen edges. Any ideas how I can make...

Can anyone give me, a novice, a breakdown on the different image file formats or point me at a soure of information? Having just bought Paint shop Pro 7 I am bewildered by the pros and cons of each....
