Can anyone suggest a way of ridding greenfly on herbs as obviously I can't use pesticides. I've thought of planting marigolds in between them, will this work ?

what is that alien thing?

I have discovered in my garden recently some massive grubs in the soil, colour silvery, white .[over 2 inch long] What on earth are they? Just the thought of squashing grubs under my wellies made me...
