Stabilising Dongle Connection?

Is it possible to do that? Sometimes the signal says 3G (good speedy response) others it's Edge (Vodafone network) shows a stronger signal but impossible to surf the net. I suppose it's just picking...

Pleasant Bus Journey Today.

The bus drivers were nice and cheery, but my gosh, little 'uns chatter non-stop. Do they ever come up for air? :-) It made a nice change from girning little darlings....
