best software?

can anyone advise me which they think is the best software for transferring from (tape) handycam (dcr-hc24e) to burn from the computor onto a dvd disc? any help appreciated,thanks.

pinnacle studio 500-version 10

have just bought a camcorder & the software with it was pinnacle studio version 10,now i've installed it, i don't seem to able to open photo explosion deluxe at all, never had any troble opening...

has anybody downloaded google earth ? it says that it's possible to zoom right down to view your street,house etc, i've been trying to do this but can't seem to zoom in as close as they reckon you...
