Why does my DVD keep stopping when i skip chapters?

I have downloaded AVI File film Epic Movie and have burned it onto a Verbatim DVD-R disc using DivX player. When i play it on any DVD player it works fine. However when i press chapter skip the movie...

How can i change from a widescreen to a full screen e.g when i alwyaz put a movie on a disc its alwayz widescreen, i dont want that can i change it
