computer screen going black

Turned my pc on today and my screen has gone completely black. If I turn the pc into the light I can faintly see the Windows logo but nothing else... Any ideas please help!

Recommendations for a computer game, PLEASE.

I want a game similar to Doom or a game where you have to find clues to be able to move on to the next stage or level, that you only have to use the mouse or one or two keys if you know what I mean?
