Any idea please

I'm still 37 and recently won and lost a small fortune playing scratchcards. Any ideas on how to get it back? Don't want to get back into the habit of buying more.

Why are mains cables black or white ...

Why are mains cables & transformers on electrical items either black or white? Kitchen items such as toasters tend to be white which I can understand as in "white goods" but why not for phones, games...
