problems viewing recorded DVDs

?Do you have to finalize the recording on a DVD RW, as well as a DVD R, in order to play/view on other DVD players?

problems viewing recorded DVDs

I just purchased a DVD recorder and recorded a movie, but it cannot be viewed by another DVD player. This is the first time I do this; the movie can only be played in the DVD in which it was recorded....
