voltage conversion US to UK

Using an adaptor, are there any foreseeable problems which I might encounter when using an item bought in the US in the UK? Thanks, Danny

Symantic live updates

I seem to get a Symantic Live update window popping up every 5 mins - my laptop was installed with this and I don't necessarily want it. How do I disable it? thanks
