xbox 360 via a laptop using 3g

Ive tryed for hours to connect the xbox360 to xbox live via a ethernet lead plugged dirrectly into the laptop. The laptop runs on vista home 32bit and has a t-mobile (uk) 3G usb device HUAWEI E220....
